How to Escape Perpetual Pain
(How to Go to Perfect Peace)
Unless you are delivered from your sins and they are forgiven, you will be separated from God forever in intense and eternal suffering. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that you escape the just penalty for your sin.
Thankfully, there is a way you can escape what you deserve. This way has been made possible by the love of God through His Son, Jesus Christ. As God the Son, He became a human, lived a life without sin, died on a cross as a just payment for all sins, and rose from death. Because He was a man, His death can represent you. Because He was without sin, His death can be applied to your debt so your sin can be forgiven. Because He is God, He can pay for all sins. Because He rose from death, He can also raise you from death to be with God forever.
"He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." 2 Corinthians 5:21
"For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures" 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him." Romans 5:8-9
The only way for you to receive this salvation is to repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ - turn away from sin and turn in faith to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You must turn away from and reject living according to your own wishes and desires. You must turn to Jesus as your Lord and Master. You must believe Jesus died for your sins so they can be forgiven. You must believe He rose from death and can raise you from death to live eternally with God.
"... repent and believe in the gospel." Mark 1:15
"... whoever believes may in Him have eternal life." John 3:15
"He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3:18
"He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." John 3:36
Jesus has already paid the complete price for all sins. There is nothing you can do to earn forgiveness. There is nothing about you that deserves salvation. Because Jesus has already paid an infinite price by His death, salvation is a free gift. It is accessed only through faith.
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus" Romans 3:23-24
"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
Believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and in His work as Savior.
